what other countries are better to live in than the United States? and why?
anyone who has watched any of the presidential debates would know america is pretty screwed up to live in right now: home-foreclosures, lowest paying jobs in decades, careers gone due to NAFTA, immigration problems, funding wars that the public doesn’t want to pay for, public education system that pales compared to foreign nations, health care gone wild, infrastructure crumbling, ceo’s cfo’s making hundreds of millions of dollars while employees are laid off or paid minimum wages, stocks which have plummetted, US dollar is worthless compared to the euro, lira, pounds, and peso, and on and on… why is america so fantastic? i reckon we’ve lost our greatness. People in america reckon it is fantastic to live here only because we are brainwashed from birth into believing so, but review the facts and compare your standard of living to someone in london, england, canada, hell even people with some money in mexico live better than us, and you will see the real truth. do your homework.

I reckon, you just need to make the best with what you have.

Australia (gold coast more exact). I wish i lived there. Nice and sunny, kind people, theme parks. Live on the beach lol. Otherwise Hawaii looks excellent, but i’ve only seen it on TV shows.

i reckon “they” say we’re the best because we’re suppose to be the land of opportunity and more freedoms. A lot of us abuse those freedoms and privileges though. thats why everything is becoming more screwed up now. I know this wont happen during my generation, but itll be a 3rd world country in the distant future. we are still holding strong but like anything that grows ancient, itll deteriorate. thats whats happening. so i guess you have to make the best of it.

Personally I’d like to either live in the UK, or Germany, or anywhere in Europe really, like Switzerland or Italy. I feel the same as you do about the low paying jobs, crazy health care system, especially about how so many of our jobs are being out sourced to other countries, I mean they are our jobs, thats why the unemployment is so high, people are losing their jobs because they are being out sourced to other countries, like to India and China and others.
I feel for you on this one. Hopefully things will get better.

Most people in developed countries reckon that theirs is the best.Who can say which is the best?In most developed countries now,the stout cats are not just stout, they are morbidly obese and as you say, employees are getting shafted. This is the result of unions that have been weakened by years of laws passed to control their powers, there is no longer any threat from them and most people are just pleased to be in work and struggling than to be unemployed and in despair.

This country is not doing that terrible. But then again I dont get my information from presidential debates.
Some of the problems you view as things that make this country so terrible I view as excellent things. Thank god we have a free market that does not reward stupidity.(most of the time) I will give you that some of the issues you bring up need to be addressed though. It just doesn’t make this country any worse than others.
The U.S. is always rated in the top ten of best places to live on a side note.
My favorite answer to your question but goes to STAR25…..who states she is tired of high unemployment and wants to go to Germany. LOL.
