when you compare college careers, who’s the better choice for president?

i liked this answer so much i had to enter it in the form of it’s own question….

With America facing historic debt, multiple war fronts, stumbling health care, a weakened dollar, all-time high prison population, skyrocketing Federal spending, mortgage crises, bank foreclosures, etc. etc., this is an unusually critical election year.

Let’s look at the educational background of the candidates and see what they bring to the job:

Obama:
Occidental College – Two years.
Columbia University – B.A. political science with a specialization in international relations.
Harvard – Juris Doctor (J.D.) MagnaCumLaude

& Biden:
University of Delaware – B.A. in history and B.A. in political science.
Syracuse University College of Law – Juris Doctor (J.D.)

vs.

McCain:
United States Naval Academy – Class rank 894 out of 899 (meaning that, like George Bush, McCain was at the bottom of his class)

Palin:
Hawaii Pacific University – 1 semester
North Idaho College – 2 semesters – general study
University of Idaho – 2 semesters – journalism
Matanuska-Susitna College – 1 semester
University of Idaho – 3 semesters – B.A. in journalism

Now, which team are you going to hire to lead the most influential nation in the world?

  1. Your horns are showing Morris. Says:

Well, all I have to say is… Palin should get her money back on that Journalism Degree.

    It has failed her miserably!

Guess we know your vote……….but if it helps you look past a community organizer, excellent for you.

There’s an ancient saying….”Deeds not word”

  3. Styrofoam Columns ? HAHAHAHA Says:

college careers, I will say Obama…

Streetwise credentials and experience, I will say McCain

It’s amusing cause I make more money than my cousin and he graduated from UM and I didn’t even got to college….

  4. Brian Says:

Only the young and naive reckon the the college careers is of any serious import in this campaign. I want to see what they have accomplished since college..

  5. See Dee Says:

The one who recognizes that he/she doesn’t want to be $100,000 in debt by the age of 25 is always the smarter one.

  6. Capone Says:

I don’t judge people on that weak as-s criteria. I judge them on real experience.

  7. Randall E Says:

If we elected the President and Vice President based on college careers, the President would be Doug Flutie and the Vice President would be Gordie Lockbaum.

Wait – that would probably be preferable to either McCain-Palin or Obama-Biden.

Well, I’m an Obama supporter, but in all fairness, I don’t reckon that a person’s college career is any indicator of how qualified he is. After all, Bush has degrees from both Yale and Harvard Business School, yet all of his business ventures have been dismal failures and his Presidency has been a disaster!

  9. pepperluu Says:

When you place it like that, it kind of speaks for itself.

Lawyers v. Normal people in an economic crisis. Oh, gee, I dunno.

There will be plenty of lawyers available to sue people, we need to elect experience.

  11. Karissa S Says:

Well I’m not voting for McCain and it has nothing to do because of his education. I feel education is not always vital. Theres people who go to college but are some of the dumbest people around so college does not always define who you are. I’m voting for Obama because he makes sense. McCain has not said one excellent point that will make me vote for him. More importantly, if he were to die, Palin would be President and that is a very very scary reality.

  12. DOUBLE J 54 Says:

It would seem to be a no brain-er. OBAMA/BIDEN.
HAHAHAHAHA, you get it, a no brain-er, as in mccain/palin have no brains. Now that is amusing!!!!

  13. blindguy@rocketmail.com Says:

    I’d say wins that competition by a nose–an elephhant’s nose! :)

But you forgot something. Obama is/wass also not just a student, but a scholar and working professor at the University of Chicago.

  14. kvicsinclair Says:

McCain-Palin all the way especially that Rezko is singin to the feds Let the indictments roll….Also you failed to mention Mr.McCain and 5 yrs as a P.O.W! I would place excellent money down that Obama would not last 5 days there.

  15. Lyle G Says:

Columbia University – B.A. political science + Harvard – Juris Doctor
= Indocrinated leftist that I wouldn’t let anywhere near the reigns of power if it wee up to me.
I don’t even need to go any farther down the list. Who/what’s to be found there might be just as terrible but there is no way it can be any worse.

  16. justagirl Says:

What I find so fascinating about the other answers is that they completely miss the point. It’s not a matter of what a person studied, or what degree they got. It’s a matter of applying themselves to a program with dedication and hard work. Which seems to have really escaped Palin and McCain.

  17. hat77trick Says:

    Vote for Pedro!

  18. Captain Starkiller Says:

So? Bush went to Yale. You telling me that makes him qualified?
