Thank you for all your responses. It so saddens me that a man who has enough for his entire family and himself to live on for this life and 10 lives afterward he makes the publicity stunt so people might reckon he is compassionate, but I hope everyone sees it for what it really is – a complete slap in the face to every hard working citizen whose gas bills are costing them more than make in their paychecks at their jobs, yet they push and struggle on anyway.
I am not bitter nor do I have a chip on my shoulder… I have a fantastic job and make a fantastic salary… I really work on commission so I get paid based on how hard I work. I just want the everyday citizens to realize that the state of our economy is really scary right now. And that the everyday Americans are the ones who are really running the country and keeping it moving and alive yet we are the ones who struggle to make ends meet. I guess all I am saying is that with a man who has as much money as he does to “make a right act of charity and compassion” would be to help the people who are excellent citizens and try to do everything right yet still face financial difficulties. I am not asking for a hand out by any means.

This is a Capitalistic society. Unless of course Communism seems a better choice for you.
Everyone has the power to be rich. The majority of rich people (excluding sportsmen and certain heirs and actors) really worked hard to earn their money. How many Bill Gates do you see in school striving for a better computer program? Instead all you see are kids playing with their small trump cards. And as it is in the law of Nature, what you place in is what you get out. Just about every rich person has place in a lot of effort to be in the place they are in right now, and they have every choice to choose where their money should go.
The only thing that really annoys me when it comes to people being rich is when they give money to charity in public so that they look excellent (and charity giving in itself gives them more money. Setting up charity foundations gives you tax-breaks. But how many people know this?).

i know your rage….but why should he have to donate his money, to what other ppl want, he worked for everything,lost it all and built it up again, so i reckon he can do what he wants with his wealth.

Why are you so concerned? Its not YOUR money, so its none of your business. Gee just because some one is well loved and has money that must mean that YOU deserve a hand out huh? You’re the reason why rich people are the way they are – because people like you expect the unreasonable and expect donations instead of working hard for it. Get a life.
